Black Friday: The Garden Edition

Welcome to Black Friday, the garden edition. We stayed away from shopping centers today, and enjoyed life near home. I walked with a friend on one of our local trails, where we spotted mallards, geese and a stunning beautiful swan.

Our tree is up and decorated, the lights are hung and after a relaxing dinner at home, I lit Bayberry and Cinnamon scented candles. I love cozy evenings with family.

Petals and Blossum are a pair of lucky black cats, staying cozy in their home in Canada. Those kitties assumed, with the legendary confidence of a cat, that they named Black Friday after them. Aren’t they clever?

You can see a picture of the sweet little twosome at Boomdeeada. They work their way in to several posts. Thanks for the inspiration girls.

  1. Happy Black Friday Slinky, from your look-alike canadian fans Petals & Blossum. We loved seeing you in your mommy’s garden. We think you look real cute doing the pretzel move, when we got an itch we just tickle each other. Your mom is so adorable to tell visitors here about ‘little ol’ us’ (we’re blowing kisses right now). We’re thinking about you tucked in a warm bed tonight and that makes us purrrr. I think Petals needs a bath, excuse me while I do that…here’s mom…. xo Blossum

Hi Alys, that Blossum is such a chatty cathy, I just want to tell you too, how amazing your blended photo’s are. I’ve been trying to get that ‘masking’ trick down pat in photoshop. I really like that! We were happy to be included in your post, what a nice surprise. Your walk sounded so beautiful, wish I was tagging along. xoK

    • I wish you were tagging along, too. We’ll try to squeeze in a hike on your visit after we go to Winchester Mystery House, Lisa’s Tea Treasures, Scrapbook Island, Antique Row, Santana Row, perhaps the Tech Museum, the quilt museum, and ample time in the back garden drinking wine, singing songs and laughing our heads off.

Blossum, so nice of you to send a long reply. I don’t mind Chatty Cats one bit, unless it’s 4:00 a.m. and they are insisting I get up out of my warm bed.

      • LOL, I better get my butt to bootcamp. I don’t imagine the guys will keep up, even though they’re younger…hehe (score). It all sounds like a dream vacation come true.

The kitties do have an expectation around here that we accommodate their schedule too, if you don’t get up when Blossum wants you to, she is relentless. She’ll paw my hair, my nose, the blanket over my head. It’s rather brilliant that they get their breakfast and go back to sleep…meanwhile, I’m wide awake.

I wonder if PJ will get any sleep? Aren’t they the cutest little kittens?
