Our strawberries are popping out lush, red fruit daily. They are delicious, and as yet, untouched by garden pests. I only planted three plants and had a fourth come back from last summer. Now I wish I had planted more. Next year…

Over to friends tonight for BBQ and had a really delish salad with strawberries and blueberries with (she said), simple dressing. The strawberries made a simple green salad look great and taste even better! When I get the recipe, I’ll pass it on, so so yummy.

Thank you! It does sound delicious. We have a local bakery and sandwich shop that makes a spinach salad with fresh strawberries, mandarin oranges, sliced almonds and feta. The dressing is wonderful, but I’ve no idea how they make it. I will look forward to seeing your friends recipe. It sounds like a nice evening.

It was a scorcher of a day (by Edmonton standards), so it was a great night to be on a patio in the burbs, they live a ways out but we can take the train almost all the way, then they fetched us at the station. We’re going to forget how to drive.

Don’t you just love the train? Big picture windows, comfy seats and no driving. I wish we had better public transportation here in the Bay Area. When I traveled through Europe back in 1989 it was incredibly easy to move around. The trains were clean, punctual and frequent enough to make them convenient.

Our trains are pretty new and clean so it’s a great way to get around, I managed to stand by an open window which really helped. Here’s Kari’s recipe for the dressing (warning: Might be Adddictive)

I clicked on the link, above, but it takes me to a photo gallery and asks for a log in. Is that correct? I can’t wait to try it. Thanks so much for remembering.

Oh dang, maybe you have to have a ‘Picture to Life’ password, I’m not sure (it’s where I store my photos I use for my posts). I’ll try it again, it says this is the link for sharing ??? let me know

You’re so welcome, let me know what fruits you use, Kari used blueberries & strawberries but oranges would also be yummy, if there are any left in your yard.
