That’s very pretty Alys! It also looks like a lot of effort has been put in for St Paddy. The greening is also suitably seasonal for you….. Happy Spring! 🙂

Thank you, Pauline. It was a lot of fun, and always well received by the children in the neighborhood.

That is delightful! The leprechauns will be flocking to celebrate in your garden and read the books (and maybe steal away the pot of gold 😃)

Thank you, Anne! The pot of gold is still safe. It must be a magical charm cast by the garden fairies. 😉

Thank you! The LFL brings me so much joy. It’s wonderful seeing the books ebb and flow, and fun watching users stop by. Many more have sprouted up in the neighborhood. We even have a Tardis box in nearby Campbell!

You have sign on your Library now – I hadn’t noticed that before. It looks so pretty in green – what are in the craft kits?

Thank you. When you register your library with the non profit organization Little Free Library, they send you a plaque and place your library on the map so others can find it. Isn’t that cool?

You do decorate in a big way, Alys–the library and fairy garden look festive and perfect!

Thank you, Kerry. I love the opportunity to decorate in big and small ways. I once hoped to be a “window dresser” in my youth. Those jobs have largely disappeared but I always thought it would be fun.

What a happy post!!! :))) Fairies in the garden with rainbows and Leprechauns in the library. The photos were just lovely. Everyone is a little Irish on St. Pat’s day and I’m definitely a little Irish. We checked to make sure. 🙂 Have a lovely day.

I’m pretty sure I’ve got some Irish in me too, though my hair color screams Scotland. Dad was British, mom from Nova Scotia and Alys is the old Welsh spelling of Alice. It all adds up. Oh and green is my favorite color. Coincidence? Love to you, Marlene, for always showing up here with the most lovely comments.

The little library looks delightful in its greenery. I am sure we can all claim to have as much Irish in us as St Patrick since he wasn’t born in Ireland. Perhaps that’s why we all enjoy the celebration of St Patrick’s Day however far we are from Ireland. 🙂 We don’t need to be Irish to enjoy the spirit of Ireland, and feel the spirit of Ireland.

Thank you, Laurie! I love this little library so I squeeze in time to do special little things to renew interest and keep people engaged. The library gets a lot of foot traffic. It’s fun seeing the bookmarks gradually picked up and the books coming and going. The smallest of children are still my favorite. They have so much enthusiasm for the library.

How wonderful. Was telling my friend in Maine all about the sweet package you sent to get me started and I have some ideas. I will send photos once I get under way. Happy Spring Alys.
