Anna’s hummingbird
with effortless charm and grace
nature’s perfection.
Iridescent gorget
visible in the dappled sun.
Handsome little bird.
I followed closely
as you flew from tree to tree
at last a small pause.
Soft, quiet feathers
So glad you’ve stopped for a rest
and to ease that itch.
Gorgeous hummingbird
your feathers are always in style
white tushy, dark eyes.
Your poem and photos are both wonderful. I loved the END. 🙂 You tickle me.

Little birdies in the tree, I’m so happy you stopped for Alys to see. Your sweet feathers charm her, we hope nothing today will alarm her. You are the smile on her face, thru the camera we know your grace. Thank you for cheering up dear Alys xoxox

Birdwatching sooth the mind, calms the body…I wish I was as poetic about it as you. A lovely post Alys, with a ‘cheeky’ end;0)

Your photos are so great, Alys! Those Hummingbirds must be hard to catch in a still moment.

Thank you, Laurie! They are always on the move. It’s a rare moment when I can click a few shots before they are off again.
