Four-in-one fruit tree in bloom

I’ve been trying all week to  get a decent photo of our four-in-one fruit tree.  Earlier in the week it was grey and the photos reflected that.  Now that the sun is out, I’m having trouble getting the contrast.  So, here is my attempt at a photo of the tree.  Please use your imagination when I say it is quite beautiful.  I wish I could share it with you up close.

On the plus side, it was delightful watching the little yellow-breasted birds flitting from branch to branch. I’m not sure if they are eating part of the flower, or an insect under the bloom.  The tree saw all sorts of activity this week. I’ve counted hummingbirds, bees and yellow finches among the visitors and could hear mourning doves nearby.  Hurray for the sounds of early spring.

  1. Your photo’s are like a dream, all whispy in the background. I love that photographic decision. Any one of those would make a cute poster with a quote. You see them all over Pinterest. What about those little darling birdies, heavens they’re sweet. The bottoms up photo is my favourite, hehe.

  2. I just love this fruit tree – next time I am in the garden centre I shall ask if we have them here! It is bigger than I thought – or it looks that way from the photos. Boomdee is right – your photography skills are pretty decent 🙂 I’m busy imagining what you could do with them in all kinds of crafty-type manner – Now, if those birds would just cooperate and smile at the camera……….. 🙂

    • Pauline, I can’t wait to hear if you have grafted trees in your community. I’m in love with these trees.

I’m glad you liked the photos. I wish I had more time to make like a tree myself. The regular visitors are a treat to behold.

  3. I love seeing the different blossoms on the tree. And the birds sitting in them thinking about how to arrange this years furniture. Such is the promise of new life and more good to come. I so love seeing spring. Wonderful photography.

  4. One of the joys of spring is to awaken to the sounds of the mourning doves in the backyard. The cherry tree that grows on the property line between us and our dear neighbor is just beginning to flower….three or four small groupings will turn into a tree filled with blossoms overnight….a little more rain and it couldn’t get much better!
