I love a little synchronicity now and again. Just two days ago I wrote that I planned to seal my Cosmo Christmas Cards with a self-made sticker using last year’s garden calendar. The following day a friend gave me a large punch shaped like a watering can. How perfect! I’m having fun thumbing through my old garden calendar, selecting pages for the punch. Jane Shasky’s garden illustrations are magnificent.
After punching the shapes, I run them through my hand-held sticker maker by Xyron. Voila! Custom made stickers.
How cool is that!

I’m still kicking myself for letting go of all my calendars at our garage sale when we moved, I could never thing of what to do with them. I kept them for so long because I just loved the artwork. You are so clever, I also liked your envelope idea. Jim’s gone down to the wine and cheese social they do at the B&B nightly here. Unfortunately, I’m cooked on cough syrup, so I’m glad to have all my WordPress friends to entertain me tonight. 🙂

How did you made the calendar sticky? What a wonderful Idea. My craft stuff is still in the garage packed up but maybe this spring I can get it out. I too gave up all my calendars when I moved. But there will be new calendars to choose from. I will select with a different eye from now on.Thanks so much for sharing.

There you go! New calendars for new beginnings.
I have a super neat sticker maker from Xyron, available at most craft stores. They come in a variety of sizes and are fairly affordable and low tech. Let me go find a link.
It’s also useful for making sticky-backed ribbon. I’ve even used it to make a return label (cutting the address off of the envelope, and using the sticker maker to adhere the mailing address).

Here is the link to the product on Amazon. I have the smaller, X-shaped one and later bought the blue one as well (for larger projects). I use the purple one the most.

Thanks Alys, I’ve heard of the Xyron a long while back. I can look it up again. Great idea. I’m looking forward to starting new projects in the new year.
