Photographer Tamara Pruessner curates a feature on Google+ called Floral Friday. Fellow photographers and nature lovers post individual photos with the tag #FloralFriday, and as each one posts, they appear in a running thread. I’m amazed at the flow of creativity.
I’m not a professional photographer, but I do enjoy snapping pics in my garden, so I’ve joined in a time or two.
If you have a Google + account, be sure to check it out. I think you’ll enjoy the sense of community, the beautiful flowers, and the effort to bring something positive in to this sometimes-dark and confusing world.

Alys’s Bumble Bee Buffet, open 7 days a week, Ha! I miss the buzzing of the bee’s. I’m not seeing too many downtown even though I put out lots of container gardening. I’ll just pop by your catnip when ever want a peek at one.

Honeybees are in decline worldwide. I was disappointed to read that the US still allows one of the pesticides contributing to this problem. Sad.

Both sad and scary. We seem to need to be hit over the head with giant “I told you so” club before we have the will to demand change. You know we just spoke about gun violence and there you have it, horrible horrible news in Denver. What reason is there to make available these types of weapons to ‘joe shopper’ and be available in multiples. It boggles my mind. Do you feel safe knowing anyone can buy anything legally?

Sad and scary indeed.
As for the senseless violence in Denver, in boggles the mind. The suspect acquired four weapons **legally** then thousands of rounds of ammunition…ON THE INTERNET…when clearly he is mentally unstable. We have got to get serious about mental health services, rabid gun ownership, and policy that has rum amok. What he did was horrific, yet it’s happened before and will happen again if we don’t address the root causes. A sad, sad day for us all.
