My word of the year is connections.
The first thing I read this morning was Pauline’s post The Gift of Friendship which illustrates the extraordinary connections to be had through blogging. In early April, five bloggers from around the world will converge on Washington, D.C. Only two of us have met in person, but we all found each other through blogging.
Please come read about our plans.
If you have been tagging along with this blog for a while you will have read on many occasions of my appreciation for the delightful people that blogging has introduced into my life. I love how certain folks circle around different bloggers, how we introduce each other to new and exciting blogs – how we click with new people. I sometimes forget how I stumbled across someone and then will see another name in the comments and remember that I gatecrashed their party a year ago and have been having a growing relationship ever since ….. I’ve made some really good friends while blogging. And never actually met a single one of them!
But that is all about to change!
Recently some of these friends put their heads together and decided to make something happen. They invited me to come stay for a few days. A week of…

Aren’t the photo’s in this post amazing hon? We’re going to look just so cute posing in all that fluffy pinkness! OMGosh, I need new jammies and some new sandals too. I’m off to bed for some beauty sleep, LOL Do people still say that I wonder? I did this test on FB and I turned out to be 50 while Sherri was only 42. I picked mashed potatoes and Mozart, she picked pizza and the Rolling Stones, LOL why am I surprised. I’m a old lady in a young ladies bod 😀 Toodles Noodles xoxoxoxo K

Can I wear my fire fighting boots with all that fluffy pinkness?

LOL absolutely LB ! They are a must! OMGosh, I can’t wait to take my official foot shot with your bada@@ boots standing on all those pink petals….I think that’d be gallery worthy. You’re challenge of course will be to take a B&W…won’t that be hard?

How drunk will we look if we try to do with 5 what you, Sherri and I did? I think we’d probably fall down laughing. xo

I am disappointed enough not to be getting a ride on the back of your bike – if no fire-fighting boots then I’m just not coming!!

I’m also getting new jammies, can’t attend a bloggers jammie party in my old things! Won’t it be too cold for sandals? I have no idea what to bring! And I can only bring 24kg! Dilemma!!

Oh yes, new jammies. Better add that to my list. Sadly, the more comfortable they are, the less they are suitable for viewing.

Will they be Aqua Jammies? It’ll probably be around 19 to 22 C during the day Pauline. Which for you might be cool but for me is wonderful since it’ll still be cool in Edmonton. Our luggage also has to weight under 23 kg (50 lbs). I’m sure Julia won’t mind if we do a bit of laundry, so that’ll help. I usually bring too many shoes, LOL. Leave room for a wee bit of shopping too. You can also mail stuff home. I had to do that in San Jose because I was over. It’s tricky to be sure.

I don’t know what colour they will be yet – depends what I find….. but to celebrate us I shall try to find some in aqua 🙂 Your weather info is incredibly helpful, thank you for that. I suspect those temps will be comparable or even a bit warmer than here in April. I’m going to try and travel light 😀

Won’t it be fun if everyone’s jammies were aqua…..snicker. With the way the temps are going, nothing seems very seasonal anywhere. I’m forecasting plenty of heavy laughter with periods of silliness and occasional snorting (sometimes if I laugh really hard, I’ll snort, or honk like a duck. Weird hey?….LOL) x

I’ve just been reading a post debating the use of ‘weird’ as an adjective – not weird ‘unique’ 😀 There will be a lot of snorting and honking going on! xo

I’ve seen that quiz, but I’ve been avoiding it. I’m afraid of the answer.

I’m envious of your blogging connections! I’m sure you’re all going to have a blast. This will be one for the memory books, eh? Wish I could be a fly on the wall to witness the official meeting of the bloggers.

Sharon, blogging has been an extraordinary journey. You have a lot to say and could consider writing once a week. Let me know if that appeals to you at all. I would love to help you set it up.

We’re pretty excited. We’re also open to meeting interested bloggers on the trip, so if you find yourself near DC, it would be incredible to meet you too. I know several of us are fans.
