Heart-Shaped Clover
Some people believe in luck; others believe you make your own. Personally I like the idea put forth by Carl Jung that ‘luck’ is synchronicity, the idea that “the experience of two or more events as meaningfully related, whereas they are unlikely to be causally related.”
In other words, through blogging, I’ve discovered a world of interesting and articulate people who might not otherwise have crossed my path. Synchronicity! I look forward to logging on daily to see what fellow bloggers have to say; unique perspectives from around the globe.
Trying to spot a four-leaf clover on the forest floor, I had a paradigm shift. Why search for the elusive four-leaf clover, when there are pretty green hearts right under my nose?
In our not-always-pretty world, I’ve found bloggers with grace, poise, humor, advice, skill, and fascinating points of view. The hearts in the clover. At the risk of sounding pollyannaish, I believe the world is full of good people. My experience in the world of blogging validates that truth.

You’re a genuine optimist my dear and that’s a quality worth it’s weight in gold. I struggle at times, but I do like to believe that most of the people out there are kind, good and caring. You are the perfect Pollyanna and we adore you for it. We need more “cup half full” people in the world. Even though I tend to be very Serious by nature, I too, see the world through optimists eyes. Luck is opportunity and experience meeting, aka synchonicity. You are so on target and I enjoy reading your blogs for their optimistic quality. If you are a gardener, you have to be an optimist. Loved this post.

Ah what a lovely post! Optimism is a great quality as is the ability to spot the beauty in everything from nature whether it has 4 leaves or the usual beautiful 3. I’ll always see little hearts now when I look at clover 🙂

With generations of genes floating around in me that heavily and naturally lean more toward glass-half-empty, I’m going to try so hard from now on to be a member of the “three-hearts optimist club” (wanted to be part of a happy club ever since I read “The Jane Austen Book Club”).

Interesting post. It reminded me of a picture book I saw on my vacation with my sister Sharon. I was staying in her guest bedroom, and there was this lovely book with pictures of hearts found in nature. It was fascinating. At the end, the author said, ‘now you will find hearts where ever you go.’ I think your heart clover is a good example of this!
