Guest Blog: Memorable Meowers by Mac Francini

My son surprised us all by writing the following poem the night he learned of Mr. Cat’s death.

Dedicated to Al, Alison and Mr. Cat

Mr. Cat
Collar-Collar
Now your lives
have both gone yonder.

Collar-Collar
with your light, fluffy fur
Mr. Cat
the color of dirt.

Even though you might have died
you’ll never be forgotten;
somewhere deep inside,
I’ll never see you as rotten.

I know that you are happy
Now that you are up in the sky;
but every time I think of you
I always start to cry.
